Redemption - A True himym ending!
You cannot imagine Ted without Robin.
You cannot bury his passion for Robin that still exists. The image of him holding up the blue horn, like that legendary night, is a true ending, because a true ending must feel like a purpose.
He experienced more (existential) deaths cause of Robin and, in the end, struggled through them, than just the physical death of his wife. I'm so glad that those two characters existed and returned where they belonged.
It should be easy for people who have fallen in love big time to understand and sympathize.
You cannot watch 8 perfect made seasons of himym that is about Robin or/Ted and of course all the others , and suddenly expect to have a different and not perfect ending. By perfect I mean to follow its purpose. Of course the series was perfect made from a directors view. You all get stuck on the title so you argue about the ending but the real title of the show is the pilot guys. This is its purpose.
